Wontongbojeon is a worship hall enshrining a statue of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion. The name Wontongbojeon means "hall of the permeation of all things" and conveys Avalokitesvara's ability to provide salvation from suffering throughout all places and to all living beings.
Wontongbojeon Hall of Beopjusa Temple was built in 1624 and has since undergone several repairs. The building is square, with each side measuring 8 m in width. The tile roof meets at a point and has a stone decorative top, which is unusual for a Buddhist worship hall.
Inside, there is a wooden seated Avalokitesvara statue Treasure No. 1361 that was made in 1655.
