This is one of the main halls of Magoksa Temple along with Daeungbojeon Hall. It was burnt down during the Japanese Invasion in the 16th century, and was reconstructed in 1813(the 13th year of King Sunjo’s reign). The hall houses a seated Vairocana Buddha statue, which faces east, and the Painting of the Vulture Peak Assembly(Chungcheongnam-do Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 191). Also, a mat made of oak wood is placed on the floor, and various flower patterns are carved on the frames of the front windows.
