Lecture Hall of Nogangseowon Confucian Academy, Nonsan

This building is the lecture hall of Nogangseowon Confucian Academy. It is the largest Confucian academy lecture hall in the Chungcheongnam-do area.

The building features a wooden-floored hall in the center with underfloor-heated rooms on each side. Liftable doors were installed at the front and back. The roof has gables at each end with additional canopies installed beneath them. The function of the canopies is to protect from rain and wind the parts of the building which are not covered by the gable roof and to provide additional support. Such canopies are commonly found in the Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do regions.
