Treasure · Goryeo period · Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do
This 3.2m high stupa resembles the style from those of the Tongil-Silla period. However, judging from its simple structure or sculpture, the stupa is thought to have been erected during the Goryeo dynasty. Under the octagonal cornerstone, a dragon and cloud patterns are carved, and the middle part was trimmed without any pattern. Lotus flowers are engraved on the cornerstone. On the steeply-sloped roof corner, flower patterns are carved. Its overall shape reflects simple but restrained and balanced feeling.
