Treasure · Unified Silla period · Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do
These 8.4m high twin stone pagodas and Silsang temple were built during the late Tongil-Silla period. On every story, the main portion and the roof were made of separate stones, and the pillars were carved on the corners of the main portion. Under the corner of the roof, it is level, but the part of the upper corners is rising upwardly. It appears less symmetrical because of the big support, but the whole shape indicates cheerful beauty. Though the pagoda in the west has lost part of its top, the upper parts of these two pagodas keep their original form relatively well.
