This Gwaebul was painted by the two moks Uigyeom and Yeongan in 1749. It is a Yeongsanhoesangdo in the form of seokagchiljondo;Sakyamun is on the center with six Bodhisattvas on both sides. The 13.25m by 9.19m portrait is an outstanding work in the composition and the coloring. The five rays of light emitting from Sakyamuni's head seem to shed a light of mercy on the world. Gwabul is hung when the buddhist ceremonies are held, the kind of which is various according to the character of Buddhist mass and the kind of ritual. This Yeongsanhoesangdo was used for the Buddhist ceremony(Yeongsanje) to pray for longevity and the Land of Happiness.
