Treasure · 조선시대 17세기 · Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do
Establishment of Jung-Hey-Sah is estimated between the 9th through 13th century. The temple was revived when the sixth chief monk, Chung-Ji, of Songwang Temple stayed here, but it was severely damaged from Japanese Invasion (jung-yu-jae-ran). It is recorded that it received repairing in the 9th year of Lord GwangHae(1671) and in the 5th year of King Cheol-jong.
The main building has a hipped and gabled roof and three sections tracing the front and two on the side. The top part of each column has a bracket to support the weight of the roof. Each bracket has unique designs of dragon head and Ying-Yang patterns. It's a very important artifact to show the uniqueness of Cho-sun Dynasty’s architectural designs.
