Eungjindang Hall of Mihwangsa Temple, Haenam

Dharma mountain stretches out like an Asian folding screen and is called the Geumgang mountain of the Southern Province because of its outstanding beauty.

According to legend, after Bodhidharma took Seon to China, he came to Korea to reside in Dhama mountain forever, which gives the mountain Its name.

A Koryo Dynasty record says that high government officials from the Song Dynasty in China came to Dharma Mountain, were struck by its beauty and paid homage to it.

Arahants Hall enshrines 16 of Shakyamuni Buddha's disciples who had great mystical powers.

'Arahant' is a Sansknt word for people who have seen the true nature of existence and attained liberation.

Arahants Hall has been renovated many times since the Japanese in vasion of 1597.

Inside the building there is a Chinese ink painting of Arahants famous for its elegant lines and Zen quality.
