Sungnyeoldang Shrine, Yeongcheon

Sungnyeoldang is a Chinese style building built in the 15th year of King Sejong(1433) of the Joseon Dynasty and its structure and form are beautiful and unique.

The building was a house of General Wiyanggong Yi Sun-mong, a great admiral called Blessed Admiral who had great achievements in the conquest of Tsushima and the barbarians in the 1st year of the reign of King Sejong(1419). Currently, his ancestral tablet is enshrined and ancestral rituals are performed in spring and fall.
