Treasure · Unified Silla period · Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
The Buddha triad dates back to the end of the Three Kingdoms Period (circa 57 BC - 668 AD) or the early Unified Silla Period (668 - 935). Each of the four sides of the rock contains the Buddha triad. Those of the three sides have been worn off, but a set of Buddha triad on one side has been preserved in good condition. The main Buddha (148cm high) sits cross-legged in the middle flanked by two attendant Buddhas (108cm and 112cm high).
