Treasure · Joseon period · Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do
Daebisa temple was founded by Priest Sinseung in 566, the 27th year of Silla King Jinheung, and reconstructed by National Preceptor Wongwangguksa in 600, the 22nd year of Silla King Jinpyeong. This temple once stood at Bakgok-ri, but it was moved to the present site during the Goryeo period. Daeungjeon, the main hall of this temple, shows typical characteristics of the architectural style in the middle of the Joseon period. It measures 3kan by 3kan (a traditional unit of measure referring to the space between two columns).
