Treasure · 통일신라시대 9세기 · Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
This three-story stone pagoda is presumed to have been made in the late 9th century during the Unified Silla period (668-935).
It consists of a two-tiered base, three sets of body and roof stones, and a partially damaged decorative top. The corners and the sides of the base are carved to look like pillars, as are the corners of the body stones. Each body and roof stone is made of a separate piece of stone.
In 1975, when the pagoda was renovated, a stone was added to the northern side of the base's upper tier. Apart from this alteration, the pagoda has been preserved well in its original form.
