Documents of Jang Mal-son’s Family

These are 19 documents that were passed down by the family of Jang Mal-son (1431-1486), a civil official of the Joseon period (1392-1910). They date from the late period of the Goryeo dynasty (918-1392) to the mid-Joseon period.

The documants consist of six petitions related to the ownership of land and servants, three documents recording the distribution f property and servants, two documents that are proof of adoption and awnership of servants, and one document that specifies the wages of the housekeeper.
