This Buddha triad in Daeungjeon Hall consists of Sakyamuni Buddha at the center, Amitabha (the Buddha of the Western Paradise) on his left and Bhaisajyaguru (the Medicine Buddha) on his right.
According to a record on the pedestal of the Sakyamuni statue, this triad was made in 1629 and 1630 by eight monk sculptors, including Hyeonjin, Seungil, Cheonmin, and Suyeong. The main Buddha is slightly taller that the attendant Buddhas, measuring about 1.5 m and 1.2 m in height, respectively.
The octagonal pedestals have balanced proportions and are exquisitely decorated with floral designs.
